Ha, i just read that article about tattoos on Jay dubya org. Absolutly pathetic.

No where does it say not to get tattoos, so they resort to the old "bible principle" trick.

I laughed when it said.. "The fact is, as people age, their views change, their tastes change, and their affections change—but their tattoos do not"...

Suppose thats a bit like me and getting baptized into the JW org...

And its a little offensive the article entitled young people ask, when the trend now (and always has been) is for any age group to get a tattoo. I mean, that guy on the bus dosn't look young now does he? And that guys tattoo on the bus, it looks utter shit anyway, who get's them like that these days?

My original thought (which is usually the most accurate) regarding this, is that they were using bread as a visual aid as a type of subconscious reminder to not eat of the bread this year if you do not want to grieve, or even sin, against the holy spirit...Bit suspect they use a bread illustration the month before the memorial...

That song at the end, what a manipulating piece of shit. It portrays the way the WT want every male to be in the organisation, a wimp with ZERO backbone incapable of having anything resembling fun. Subtly hinting if you dare to have a laugh at the meeting, you will not find a good girl...or any girl at all for that matter.

It also portrays what the Org wants a JW woman to be. Someone who will say yes to any old wimpish shmuck. Also, the women's place is to take out garbage and be stood behind a Trolly smiling.

And why oh why would a guy get so nervous to help a struggling women with the garbage, any decent bloke would help any women regardless of weather he wants to F**k her brains out or not, because, let's admit it, that's the only reason why these 2 JWs want to get hitched.

Cue to leave

just reading a thread about one circuit saying the pubs must donate $10.. it got me thinking, that if it ever became policy to donate a % of ones income, that would be my cue to leave.

or i would kick up such a stink about it i would be kicked out.

either would be good for me.. so, is there any public policy changes which would be your cue to leave?.

suppose i'm just scared of the consequences, and as you said, are any of us really ever ready?

I do have a plan to fade, but it may take many years. I'm just exploring some other avenues today.

I think it's just something/someone to hang all are hopes, fears, and desires on.

If we want something, we pray.

If we are frightened by something, we pray.

If we do something "bad" and want forgiveness, we pray.

If we get what we asked for, God is with us. If we don't get what we asked for, God is still with us.

If If we pray that a friend will survive surgery and he survives, God was listening to our prayer. If he dies, then god was still listening, but time and unforeseen occurrence befall us all....

It really don't make sense and is MASSIVELY open to interpretation what this "God" is really like.

If there was 100% evidence to prove he does exist, I would have some very sobering questions for him. And the answer "i'm working to my timetable", just does not cut it.

I'm not too sure what to believe right now. I'm leaning towards there being a higher life form that is bigger than any mind can fathom, who doesn't actually give a shit about what goes on on planet earth. But again, jury's out on the subject for now.
